Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 16, 2026
Last updated: September 17, 2026
MLT Academy (“MLT Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a service of MultiLingual Technologies, Inc. (“MLT”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit academy.multilingual-tech.com (the “Site”) or enroll in our courses. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide to us:
- Your name and email address when you contact us through our contact form.
- Your name, email address, account login credentials, and billing/payment details when you register or enroll in a course.
- Any messages or information you send us directly.
Information collected automatically:
- Standard server log data, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and timestamps.
- Functional cookies that are necessary to operate the Site (for example, to keep you logged in and to maintain your shopping cart), and, only if you accept them, analytics cookies (see section 4). We do not use third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies.
Payment information:
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. Your full payment card details are handled by that processor and are not stored on our servers.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Provide and administer your course access and account.
- Process your payment and send you order- and account-related communications (such as receipts, access information, and important course updates).
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
- Maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our courses.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell or share it for advertising.
3. How we share your information
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate — for example, our payment processor, our website hosting provider, and our email/communication tools — and only as needed for them to perform services on our behalf under agreements that limit their use of the information.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Usage data collected by Google Analytics, with your consent, is described in section 4.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use two kinds of cookies.
Functional cookies are necessary for the site to work. They keep you signed in, remember your cart or form progress, and protect the site from abuse. You cannot turn these off without breaking those features.
Analytics cookies help us understand how people use the site: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive, and where they leave. We use Google Analytics for this. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google, which processes it on our behalf. We use it in a configuration that does not log or store your IP address and does not build advertising profiles. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising.
Analytics cookies are on by default for visitors in the United States and most other countries; you can turn them off at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked before analytics cookies are set. If you opt out, we still count page views in a way that does not identify you. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
Campaign links we publish may carry tags in the web address (for example utm_source) so we can tell which article or post a visitor came from. These tags do not identify you and set no cookie.
5. Data retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide your course, and afterward only as required to meet our legal, accounting, or reporting obligations.
6. How we protect your information
We use industry-standard measures, including SSL/TLS encryption, to protect information transmitted through the Site. Payment data is handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor and is not stored on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your California privacy rights
We honor the following rights for California residents. If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. (Note: we do not sell or share personal information, so there is currently nothing to opt out of.)
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. (Note: we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require this option.)
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at jonathan@multilingual-tech.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law (generally within 45 days).
8. Children’s privacy
The Site and our courses are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
9. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
